[UPDATING & LAUNCHING] Updater crashes (C++ error) after patching
Question
SYMPTOMS: After finishing a patch installation the Updater crashes with “C++ error”
Answer
CAUSE: The version of the World of Battles Installer you used to install the game client is relatively old. Some of the old installer versions had an issue with applying several patches in a row.
RESOLUTION:
While in majority of cases the game client will anyway be patched and restarted automatically after the error happens, still we recommend to reinstall the game with a new installer in order to prevent possible client integrity issues. Download the newest version of the game client installer from World of Battles official web site, uninstall the previous version, restart the machine and install the version recently downloaded.
You may try to download full client installation without using the official World of Battles Downloader using the following link:
http://download.worldofbattles.com/WorldOfBattles_Morningstar_1.3.5.exe
Be aware that you shouldn't use default Internet Browser for downloading, because it might cause installation problems in future. Instead of it please use on of the free Download Managers
You can use Free Download Manager (free download) http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm
Install & launch the Download Manager, then press ”+” sign in the upper left corner and add link to our game client file. Select folder you want to download & press “start”. Please wait till download finishes & launch the downloaded file.
